We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team.Job Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:  Research, develop and apply advanced engineering concepts in the solution of complex manufacturing problems.  Designs machinery and material handling systems powered by pneumatics, hydraulics, rotary or other power transmission means to maintain desired production throughput.  Produces detailed assembly and part prints on Solid Edge or AutoCAD.  Interfaces with Electrical Engineer to establish appropriate PLC control of automated equipment.  Reviews new designs for production ability, considering cost, quality, safety, delivery, production capabilities.  Plans and directs fabricators, contractors, and maintenance in fabrication of equipment, and development of methods and procedures for operating products or systems.  Directs and coordinates fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design specifications.  Manage and prioritize multiple project timelines  Evaluates existing production equipment and recommends design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.  Write and maintain manufacturing process sheets, operation manuals and all other necessary manufacturing documentation.  Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.   Physical Requirements: This position requires the mental ability to read and comprehend policies, procedures, instructions, etc., to write reports, to use logic and data to solve problems, to assess needs, to communicate effectively, and varying degrees of independence, judgment, and discretion.
